LOTR Where Are They Now? - part II : the rest of the cast aka the post that ONTD rejected because the mods have deemed that WATN posts are "dumb". Since I believe 10 pages of comments doesn't equal "nobody cares", I saved the the code and am now posting it here in its entirety.

Here's part II to our LOTR where are they now? festivities. Part I with the 9 of the Fellowship is here. Behind the cut you'll find the rest of the cast. The final part will (some day, but it is not this day) include key members of the crew and ppl I probably forgot to include in this one.
Bring your honey cakes, Dorwinion wine and gifs and let's get the party started! To warm you up for the comments, here's a fanboy ~confessing his LOTR sins~.

The Elves

Cate Blanchett

Where do I even start? One of the happiest moments of my life as a nerd was when I heard that my all time top favourite actress would be playing the one character that is dearer to me than anyone else ever. Yeah, Cate as Galadriel. Still quite can't believe it, and I'm willing to forgive so much about these movies for this fact alone.
Anyway.... Cate. The Supreme Queen of England, Ireland, France, Virginia, Middle-earth and the Universe before, during and after the trilogy. Her recent movie roles include Katharine Hepburn in The Aviator (for which she won an Oscar), Babel, Notes On A Scandal, Bob Dylan in I'm Not There, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and of course Queen Elizabeth I in Elizabeth: The Golden Age. She's currently filming Ridley's Scott's Robin Hood opposite Russell Crowe. She is not going to appear as voice in Fantastic Mr Fox as reported previously but Cancer Vixen seems to be back on her upcoming projects list. Her latest theatre appearances include Hedda Gabler and War of the Roses.
She has three children with her screenwriter/film editor husband Andrew Upton: Dashiell John Upton (b. 2001), Roman Robert Upton (b. 2004) and Ignatius Martin Upton (b. 2008). Cate and Andrew have 3-year contracts as artistic co-directors of the Sydney Theatre Company. One of their goals is to eco-renovate the Theatre Company building self-sufficient, making it the first green theatre company in the world. She has also appeared in several climate conferences urging the business and world leaders to battle global warming.

His recent theatre work includes the same Hedda Gabler production Cate starred in. Among his future project is a supporting role in his friend Jeremy Sims' World War I drama Beneath Hill 60, in which he'll play a British officer struggling with claustrophobia. The role was written for Weaving, who is also claustrophobic.

Christopher Lee

Christopher Lee played the wizard Saruman. He has publicly announced that he won't be part of the Hobbit films - though the reason he stated was that he's too old to travel as far as NZ and not that he wouldn't want to, so we can hope that if they arrange his scenes to be shot closer to home he'll still play Saruman.
