LOST and the afterlife

I knew I would get something out of my Life After Death class. To be honest, the main reason I chose to take it was because of LOST. I wanted to get a better grip on all the dimensions of the afterlife.

Today I was watching a John Edward documentary for class and something he said caught my ear.

Honestly, I believe there is nothing after death, but I wish I didn't.

Aw, why do you say that? That "wish you didn't" part.

I don't know if there's actually some sentient afterlife, but I always think in science how energy can't be destroyed, only transferred. I like to think of spiritual energy like that. Even if we die and there's nothing, maybe at least our body will help the grass grow.

I honestly have to believe in something in the beyond. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't believe in something.

This. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one. There only seems to be people who are proud of not believing anything and those who do, not a middle. :[
