Law & Order: SVU Signs Henry Ian CusickLost alum Henry Ian Cusick, who played the time-traveling Desmond Hume on the ABC series, is leaping to NBC. He has signed on for at least two fall episodes of Law & Order: SVU, playing a graphic artist named Erik Weber.
SVU executive producer Neal Baer, a fan of Lost, tells me he cast Ian because he is "a sharp, smart leader and very charismatic."
Could Ian finally help Detective Benson (Mariska Hargitay) get over her long romantic dry spell? (Her last lover was Kurt Moss, played by Bill Pullman, way back in 2008!) "There might be some flirtation," Baer says. "Erik meets Olivia when he comes to someone's aid. And then we'll see how it goes. Olivia is devoted to her job and knows that comes first."
While this comes as good news to us, somewhere out there Penny Widmore is sobbing. SVU is also looking for a big-name female to replace the departing Sharon Stone. Maybe Sonya Walger (Penny) could play that role?!

Eric Lange lands recurring role on 'Weeds'Eric Lange ("You Don't Know Jack," the bespectacled scientist Stuart Radzinsky on "Lost") has booked a recurring role on the Showtime comedy "Weeds."
Lange plays Ellis Tate, an old classmate of Nancy's. Further details about his role are wrapped up in a hush-hush storyline in the show's upcoming sixth season, which gets underway Aug. 16.
Lange is repped by Jackson-Medavoy Entertainment and Domain.
Also: he has a twitter apparently:

Michael Giacchino Providing The Score For Let Me In If there's one thing we can agree on in the divisive world of entertainment, it's that Michael Giacchino is a god. I mean, seriously: in 2009 alone the guy wrote the scores for Star Trek and Up (winning an Oscar for the latter) and continued his six-season run as the composer for Lost, writing new music for every single episode and pioneering the use of jet engine noises in music. If you don't love him already, you just haven't been paying attention.
Giacchino has also done us a favor of getting on board the J.J. Abrams train, meaning that every time Abrams or one of his cohorts comes up with something cool, some good music is bound to follow. Apparently that's going to be the case with the next film from Abrams protege Matt Reeves, Let Me In, which as you probably know by now is a remake of the Swedish vampire film Let the Right One In. According to the fansite Michael Giacchino Music, Giacchino will be contributing the score for the film, which is set to come out this October. What more to say than "Hooray!" More Giacchino is always a good thing.

A really cute quote about Nestor via James Roday of Psych....and of course, Nestor Carbonell from Lost has been announced as one of the big "gets" of the season.
"He's a very sweet man, and I guess we're one of the lucky ones right now because we've got him," Roday said of Carbonell.
