What if the Man in Black did escape in the end?
Would he really cause the destruction of the world, like Jacob warned? Where would that leave him? He wanted freedom, not oblivion.
Or would it be something he would have no control over? Like, would his mere presence cause the end of everything? Would this still happen after he lost his powers when the island got uncorked? If he had managed to leave then, would he have been okay?
