I don't get why people are mad at him for the knocking Locke down when its pretty obvious he did it because he wants to make him remember the Island. yeah I will admit it was a cruel way to do it BUT DESMOND DOESN'T HAVE TIME TO HAVE CUTE 'DO YOU BELIEVE IN LOVE' CHATS WITH EVERYONE!

Plus Charlie forced him to remember and Des survived! I'm not even sure if they can die in the Sideways verse anyway

I still think he was trying to kill Locke to weaken MIB in the island universe.

Maybe, I do like that theory as well, which you know can still support him for doing it.

How would that weaken MIB? I don't even think Desmond knows that Flocke=MIB.

I'm not sure. I just have this weird feeling about it. I also think Desmond, in both timelines, knows more than he's letting on. He's just being too calm (or maybe that's not the right description) since the electromagnetism thing from HEA.

Indeed!

Although did Desmond really have to throw in that little smirk right before the hit? Some anguish at doing it would probably garner less anger towards him than his apparent devilish glee~

I didn't think that he did it because he wants to make him remember the Island, but I definitely get what you're saying.
I honestly thought that since Desmond is remembering the Island that it might be happening slowly. Basically that he only remembers that Locke pushed him down the well. MIB did not correct Desmond when he called him Locke, so Desmond still thinks he's Locke.

I think it's a bit much to say that Des would attempt to commit vehicular homicide over someone pushing him down a well. Some guy SHOT HIM and then threatened his family with a gun, and Des just beat the fuck out of that dude rather than taking that gun and emptying the clip into the dude's head like a normal person.

I mean he knows what Widmore did to him and yet he didn't break down Widmore's office doors and shove him out a window. Hell, it took Widmore kidnapping him after years of Widmore being a SUPER HUGE dick before RT!Des finally beat the fuck out of Widdy with a IV stand. And even then it wasn't just the kidnapping: Widmore had to say that Des had to sacrifice everything before Des did it.

For Des to just snap over the first offense Locke has committed against him seems more like a Ben/Jack/Sawyer/Sayid/Locke action than a Desmond one.

I'd be pretty disappointed with the writer's consistency if they take it to that level, because it's really out of place.

If they can't die, then Sun and Ji-Yeon (idk about this whole conception thing D:) should be fine.

its my hope that my theory which I made up when writing that comment is true because omg please don't die Sun and Ji-Yeon

Yeah, that would be incredibly fucked up, and there aren't that many women left on this show in the first place.

LET SUN LIVE FFS!

I mainly think it's just crazy to go from having some hallucinations to running a disabled person over. Hell of a risk to take if he's doing it with good intentions, isn't it?
