So, rewatching...
I bought s1 and s2 on DVD brand new for $50 total (YAY!). I'm ashamed to say I've never actually seen most of 1, because I originally didn't start watching until I think Born to Run.
I only watched a couple of s1 episodes before putting on s2 instead, though, because I was like "I MISS DESMOND SFM." There are a couple of things I wish to comment on:
1. Seriously, Kate used to be so fucking awesome. I completely forgot how badass and gutsy she was. For people who don't particularly like Kate but used to - where did she go wrong for you?
I can't really pinpoint the moment I wanted her to diaf already (well, I suppose I don't HATE her character per say, I just feel she's completely unimportant and has been delegated to being a background character who only does about one interesting thing per season, and solely exists to be a facet of the love triangle now. I do like how she genuinely loved Aaron, and was hoping her character would improve, but as soon as she got back to the island in s5 it was all OH HAY SAWYER, I'M ALL UP IN YOUR GRILL, LOVE ME), but at some point in s3 I realized ALL SHE DID was flit back and forth between Jack and Sawyer, and there were much more interesting things going on on the island for me to actually give a shit.
2. I cannot stop laughing at horribly inappropriate things. I was seriously dying during Adrift. Michael and Sawyer bickering and being big whiny babies together on the raft is amazing and hilarious, and I know it's supposed to be all sad because Walt's gone, but seriously, who DOESN'T like screaming "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALT" in the middle of awkward situations?
No one? Just me? Okay.
Oh, and it doesn't help that I was watching with my mom, and she was like, "You know, Locke kind of looks like a cute little turtle when he smiles!"
3. I'm trying to figure out if Jack jears in every single one of his flashbacks. Any takers?
