LAST NIGHT AUNTIESAMN AND BLUEROSETORN WERE JIBBA JABBERIN ABOUT THEIR DREAMS OF MEETING THE CAST/CHARACTERS, AND I JUST WOKE UP FROM A NAP AND HAD A DREAM WHERE I MET MATTHEW FOX. IT WAS A GOOD DREAM

Erm, I met Ray Bradbury at a book signing, which was pretty rad.
Bandwise: Gordon Gano and Victor de Lorenzo of the Violent Femmes, the drummer from Franz Ferdinand, and Will Sergeant of Echo and the Bunnymen (who is the coolest).
And my freshman year, some guy who was in "Remember the Titans" came to my drama class to give a speech about being in the film business. It was boring and no one knew who he was in the movie.
Bonus: my mom used to work in admitting in a hospital, and admitted MC Hammer and his wife when she was having a baby. Many years later, my friend's boyfriend sold him a computer at PC World.
Also not me, but my incredibly awesome 8th grade English teacher was like "Hey, there's a picture of me as a teenager in our local comic book store, isn't that wild, you should check it out sometime." And we were like "OK" and we checked it out and he failed to mention it was a picture of him with STAN LEE.
Also, it was an ordeal actually getting to Bradbury because the book signing was across the entire state of California (which is like huge okay) and we slept in the library waiting for him and he made us cry and he is a beautiful person.
Dude, we drove from like Modesto to Riverside, which isn't too big of a deal (like, what, 6 hours), but then the driver, who has the worst sense of direction (and got really bad directions from the hotel we were supposed to stay in overnight) got lost and ended up back at Fresno (I was asleep for most of this). It took us 12 hours, and since it was already dawn by the time we got back, we just went to the college. Upside of this is that the folks who were putting on the convention thought we were awesome and dedicated, so they let us enter the convention (rather than just the book signing, which was free), and fed us, let us wash up, etc.
The Illustrated Man is my misdirected friend's absolute favourite, but I have an emotional bond to the Martian Chronicles.
