discussion: mental canon of book descriptions
This post is for discussing your personal physical canon of the characters/places/creatures in the books.
JKR said she wanted to avoid directly showing characters' faces on the paintings for Pottermore so that her mental canon wouldn't contradict with the readers'. Obvs, we should all now post our personal ideas of what things in the books like so we can contradict other people's mental canon. :)
(I know we've already had a "re-casting" for the films post a while back, but since then, we've also had a large influx of new members, so this will be a chance for new people to join the discussion.)
feel free to post not just photos of famous people, but also:
-stock images
-fan art
-accurate (or reaaaaally terrible) dreamcastings you've seen
-pictures of your big toe (only if it really resembles the way you felt harry was described in the books tho)
-etc
