Wizarding World of Harry Potter

So. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, at Universal's Islands of Adventure. It's been open for a year now. I know some of you have gone, and I know all of you want to go. And if you're like me, you also want to take up permanent residence in Hagrid's Hut.

If you have gone, share your experience! Got any advice for other fans? Share it! (I'm honestly interested to hear about your experience o.o)

If you haven't gone, what are some things you're dying to do there?

I've only been once, mostly because it is SO expensive. And lucky me, the day I went was the day Universal started their Mardi Gras celebration, so it was packed. We're talking "Two-hour wait to ride The Forbidden Journey" packed. But so totally worth it.

Quick! They're making you choose between one awesome option and another awesome option, and you've only got one body, so you can't do both! Would you go left... or right?

Pretty sure if I saw this wizard, they'd need a crowbar to pry me off of him...

This sign is on the way to the Dragon Challenge. I'm not sure if the irony of having Cedric's name painted over a target sign was intentional or not. I like to think it is

Will you be joining me in my new home? It'll be like a sleepover! (Hagrid not included. Unless you're Robbie Coltrane. If you are, and you're welcome to join us, so long as you're willing to act the part)

Dear Gryffindor, suck it! Hufflepuff will win yet!

BAMF! Like a mfing BOSS!

Yo, Dumbledore! Ima let choo finish, but... no, no, you DO have the greatest office of all time...

Okay. Okay. There are more, but I don't want to spam y'all. My biggest and most important advice...

-souvenirs. Bring a lot of money. Because you're going to want to buy everything they have. and they have everything. Rational thinking like, "I don't think I'm ever going to need this life-sized puppet of Fawkes" will translate to "OHMIBEM! THEY HAVE A LIFE-SIZED PUPPET OF FAWKES. YES! And while I'm at it, I better get the Hedwig puppet to keep Fawkes company. And they both need scarves, wands, robes, and a triwizard goblet to drink out of."

i solemnly swear that i am up to no good, muggles, thank you for that assessment mr weasley
