To follow up with our screened comments post:

1.) Seriously, no linking to tumblrs to troll. That is a rule we are going to enforce no matter what. It's not okay, and it makes us look like a bunch of jerks. I regret letting that slide in the past, but no more. However, this does not mean you can't copy/paste silly headcanon, quotes, etc. Here's an example of what is ok vs. not okay:

OK: Posting "'920. Harry loved when Molly cooked pot pie on Thursday afternoons after work.' That's dumb!" That's ok.

NOT OK: Posting "Hey look at this headcanon, isn't she dumb?" Not okay. Take that kind of stuff to PMs or anywhere else off the community page.

2.) Seriously, don't be rude or insulting to other members. Unless they're your friends.... jk. Sort of. If someone has said something to you personally, feel free to message us about it, otherwise, we are going to operate under the assumption that it's all in good fun, because we mods are pretty sarcastic as well. People have different senses of humor. When commenting, please don't assume that everyone will be ok with being mocked or insulted, even if you mean it as a joke.

3.) I think we're done with stan posts... for now. We've had stan posts for everyone from Harry to Percy to Filch (coming up) and I think we've got our bases covered for now. If you want to talk about a certain character, try to submit a post that has a little more of an element of discussion to it. We all love to talk, so let's get talking.

4.) In regards to Pottermore spoilers. If you want to submit a post that is free of spoilers for Pottermore, please just specify that in the original post. Otherwise, when commenting or reading, if you don't see that request, proceed with caution because there will probably be spoilers. However, if you guys could try to note something like "Pottermore Spoilers!" in the subject line of comments just to help out with those more sensitive to spoilers, that would be awesome.

5.) Make an attempt to stay on topic, within reason. As we touched on in the last mod post, just use your common sense when deciding to post an OT comment. Spamming with OT comments on the first page is not okay, please just avoid that. In our minds, posts that have reached around the 5th or 6th page, or posts that have been up for two hours with sparse commenting are free for OT comments. If, however, a post reaches that point and the original discussion is still going strong, please do not go OT just yet.

6.) We're going to have a community re-read. But no, this will not become a re-read community. We'll post the specifics later, but each book discussion post will cover a chunk of the book and will be posted on a set schedule. More details on that to follow.

I think that covers it all. Please feel free to message any of us if you have questions.

Please don't give us a reason to ban anyone, we love you all <33333

for the greater good, mod post
