I'm 85% sure it's Phil, and they got married when they were very young (maybe still in the SHIELD academy) and it didn't work out.

i'm super excited Maria is in the next episode.

and i want to know ALL THE THINGS about Melinda's mother. i wouldn't mind if there were an episode or 20 of Melinda and her mother being a badass mother-daughter team saving the world. who wouldn't want to see that?!

I was thinking kurt bumped into him at the gay bar. durr.

well Max turned down coming back before because he wasn't happy with what they wanted the story to be. Maybe he was fine doing this because it WAS a dream sequence and not any part of Daves 'journey'.
