Something to be gleeful about! Max Adler is engaged to his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Bronstein, the actor revealed to Us Weekly. The actor - who previously had a recurring role on Glee as Dave Karofsky - actually popped the question over a year ago while visiting Rome.
"She was getting ready for an hour or so, so I went outside to take a stroll to some ring shops," Adler told Us of the impromptu proposal at the EMMYS: 12th annual Heller Awards event in Beverly Hills, Calif., on Thursday, Sept. 19. Fellow actress Bronstein added: "Max was sneaking off and picking rings unbeknownst to me to surprise me. The ring is from Rome."
"There are so many things we want to do. One day we say we want to get married in a winery in Malibu. Then it’s a rooftop in New York. Vegas, elope to a chapel. London. We don’t even know," the 27-year-old actor told Us. "So when we figure it out, we’ll plan it. But right now we’re having a good time."
The couple haven’t gotten a chance to plan their wedding yet because of traveling and new projects, but they have already solidified one detail - the Glee cast will all be invited! “Everybody. I want them to sing,” he said of his former costars. “I already committed Darren [Criss] to giving a song.”
Adler appeared on the FOX series from 2009 to 2012 as school jock and bully Karofsky who was later revealed to be a closeted gay teen. With the FOX musical comedy now behind him, Adler is now “filming a very juicy part on CSI.” Bronstein is currently playing the role of Lillian Childress in a production of Sherlock Through the Looking Glass at the Whitmore Lindley Theater in North Hollywood.
