hazard announcing retirement makes me feel old. i remember when he was the next big thing. feel like he, daley blind, mario goetze all didn't really work out and become as 'big' as they should have (not sure if hazard suffered health issues like blind and goetze did)
He seemed to have had injuries once he hit Madrid. He seemed to have been slightly overweight, tried to shift weight, then got injured and moved on from there.
Hazard was a Chelsea legend, but he wanted to be a European one. And the closest Beligium came to winning the World Cup was a third place back in... 2018, I want to say?
But look, he got the chance to live his dream, and him and his children will never want for anything again. He did well.
