Booked hotel, turned up last night, only for it to be completely SHUT DOWN. So, had to do a late (and expensive) booking. Woe.

Holy shit, they didn't even inform you before you got there. At least it wasn't prepaid, right? Can you get a travel insurance claim?

Nope. Didn't inform me before I arrived. So I came off a long work day and a three hour train trip for... this. No, it wasn't covered by insurance. But hopefully booking.com can see that it was closed on the day.
