BJP... far right, right? Ugh, why?!jazzypomMay 23 2019, 12:50:54 UTC
The mood is that people are thinking the Brexit party (led by Farage) will win. EU elections in the UK are normally quite low in turn out, but since this is seen to be a second referendum, people are beating the bushes for younger people to go and vote for Lib Dems or Greens (England), Cymru Plaid (Wales), SNP (Scotland) and Sein Finn (NI) whose parties are pro remain.
With the two big parties, under Theresa May the Conservatives are haemorrhaging votes, and for Labour with Corbyn, in their willingness to run down leave voters, remain votes (about 2/3s of their party membership) are drifting towards Lib Dems and Greens. The big beasts of the Conservative party (Osbourne, Parris, Helsitine) are voting Lib Dems, since May has said that a vote for the Tory party is a vote for Brexit. Labour has said that too, so I threw my vote towards a remain party, lol.
Because of how the elections are going, broadcast rules has it such that broadcast media can't say what's going on. So with Theresa May - although she's been pressured to go- they can't report on that because well, elections.
The rest of Europe votes on Sunday, iirc, so all the votes will be counted up then, and we will see.

I dunno whether to classify them as far-right since there are worse parties that are actually far-right like the RSS and Shiv Sena.
But they've aligned with the RSS and looking at today's papers, it's really telling how there's so much of a divide between the north and south. My side has had secular-socialist politics but the party that got the majority here was caught up in the biggest corruption case in the country so ugh.
