World Cup times are rough on my side of the globe. Germany-Mexico kick-off was at 11PM. So had a few hours of sleep before getting up for work at 5AM. Then spent a good part of the work day reading articles. If only I can take a sick leave the entire WC month haha.

Totally worth it though. That was a great match. I felt happy for Mexico even though Germany is who I support.

Excited for Belgium tonight! They're the remaining team I follow who has not yet played.

Works great in the US east coast. Games at 8 am, 11 am, and 2 pm.

I’m super excited to see Belgium too. Hubby has family there, we’ve visited several times.

Right, the US east coast is exactly 12 hrs behind us. Haha lucky you!

Belgium's great, isn't it? Good beer, chocolate, very quaint towns...

Germany was a disaster and Brazil didn't really play well. Lots of pressure on them for the next matches. Although we can't really be surprised about the German result. In the last 11 World Cups, the team defending the title failed to win 9 times in their opening match.

Here in Belgium expectations are very high. People expect no less than a great performance against Panama.
Our quarter final in 2014 was the second best result in a World Cup but people think that it is now the time for De Bruyne and Hazard to shine on the international stage. We are not the most patriotic country but if they do well, the Belgian flags will take over the streets.

Tim Howard kept Belgium from making it a demolition.

Fuck Wondo for missing that shot!

Fingers crossed for Belgium! I hope Belgium's stars deliver, especially Lukaku, of course. Fellaini can elbow some Panamanians. ;))

It’s pretty awesome, really. The drama! I’m starting to get a vision of Jogi getting his pink slip if poor results continue....

Sweden, camped out on Korea's doorstep, cannot get the ball on target. That header should have gone in.

Sweden, you’d be winning by 4 goals if you actually had a decent striker. Korea is lucky you’re so crap.
