Kevin Gameiro hit a five-minute hat-trick to secure a 4-1 win for Atletico Madrid over relegation-threatened Sporting Gijon.
Atletico Madrid had taken the lead through Yannick Carrasco, who bundled home in the second half within just 11 seconds of the restart.
However, their lead lasted just minutes, Segio Alvarez smashing Sporting Gijon the equaliser from close range.
Atletico then saw an effort from Antoine Griezmann ruled out for offside, in what looked a tight call, before Gameiro restored their lead on 80 minutes.
Griezmann then added a second straight afterwards, latching onto a loose ball and firing home, before sealing his hat-trick minutes later in a thrilling finish for Atletico Madrid.
