- Schweinsteger has been ordered to clear out his locker and train in the reserves time to go. Before the Schweinsteiger defenders come for Mourinho, word has it that under LvG Schweinsteiger spent more time in Germany than in England and the players thought that he got preferential treatment and was taking the piss more than anything
- Bastian Schweinsteiger's big brother hits out at Manchester United after midfielder is cast aside Man... people are acting as if Manchester United got pre World Cup 2014 Schweinsteiger, football god, not the the guy who left Bayern Munich with his body held by pipe cleaners, glue, and fading will for the 2015/16 season. Bayern must have been laughing at getting him off their books. Supposedly, Mourinho met Schweinsteiger face to face and told him to find another club, Schweinsteiger wants to serve his £160k a week contract, and Mourinho is moving forward without him. I just can't find it in myself to get worked up over a guy who is on the the wrong side of thirty and not in the rudest of health. Who's more in the treatment room than on the field for that amount of money.

*hums, rocks back and forth on chair, jp thinks a thought, won't say it* - New Sunderland boss David Moyes claims he was unfairly treated during Manchester United tenure Start a press conference with your new employers slating your old employer - can we do that in interviews now? Moyes also admitted he turned the Sunderland job down (before they offered it to Big Sam) because he thought they were going down. Now that they're up and Big Sam has left for the England job, Moyes has said yes.
- Hull hope to name Chris Coleman as new boss this week despite Gianfranco Zola links What? I mean, I'm glad to see British coaches in the PL (yes, even the Welsh although they're the worst), but I thought he was contracted to Wales until the 2018 World Cup and all the contract panto Coleman and the Welsh FA did before the Euros
- Argentina appoint Edgardo Bauza as coach, with his first task being to end Lionel Messi's premature retirement Messi took his country to four finals and wants to focus on his club career. Leave him in peace, he's done enough.

Oh right, this is Leroy Sane? Okay.
I don't get footballers who smoke? Isn't your body your investment and value? But Balotelli is getting paid for not playing so... no sympathy
International Champions Cup
Liverpool 1 - 2 Roma
Liverpool's preseason has hit a bump. We've lost Loris Karius to a broken hand for the next ten weeks, and our third goalie is a thirty eight year old and our first goalie is still Migs. T_T
Salah and Dzeko (?) did well for Roma in this match
Ojo scored one and LFC went at half time drawing 1- 1 only to capitulate in the end
It's only friendlies, so I'm not freaking out, tbh. Klopp has used everyone, still testing and searching. LFC have two more matches in this wretched Cup. Hopefully next season, LFC won't be doing so much preseason travelling
The crowd was in full voice. Alberto Moreno (not pictured) came off with a dead leg. Let me breathe into a paper bag
Football Confessions
Mario Gomes... German lad, right? I think he's in Turkey somewhere.
Last Dortmund vs Bayern confession, I PROMISE. Some of them are pretty pointed, like a shot across the bows and bitter, like bad black coffee. But for the sake of this comm, this is the last one
This is the guy who allegedly went on strike in his last months in Tottenham because he wanted to leave for Madrid. One has to be a bit of a shit to be a top footballer, so I'm not knocking his extradition from Spurs to Real Madrid, but this whole woobiefication of footballers really gets my goat.
Neymar? Really?
OP: Done! Somehow I've found myself volunteering taking a pair of boys to the park on a free day. Oh well, off to raise the next English footballer! Cheers, jeers, corrections and commentary pushback, you know the drill!
