But DDG seems to be ice cold, when that whole kerfuffle happened with the "will he wont he?" business with Real Madrid, DDG just went about his job. del Bosque must see that and know it.

Casillas is past it, and DDG seems to have the enviable ability of focusing on one thing and ignoring everything else. The time when people didn't know if he was going to Spain or no, DDG just went about his business.

yup tbh. even with the whole sex scandal. if Spain wants to get anywhere this competition, they can't not play him.

DDG is just ice cold. A safe pair of hands, and he's been playing in the PL, and single handledly has kept Manchester United in European places for the past three seasons over Casillas who's had howlers. Why would you NOT play him?!

It's about time DDG was Spain's no 1, tbf.
