- Reasons why Rafa Benitez is doomed to fail at Real Madrid Not au courant (written in September 2015), but in light of recent events, an illuminating article cataloguing the 10 years and revolving door of managers under Perez's eye
- Zinedine Zidane the Manager: How Zizou positioned himself to lead Real Madrid
Comprehensive article on Zizou from player to soon to be manager. - Thank you, it's been an honour Statement from Rafa's page. The Real Madrid fans have been happy. Some have been dissing him saying how his CV is old, his honours aren't current, how he wasn't elegant and a Spanish waiter (wayment...). It seems Rafa found out from his press friends who called him and gave him the heads up before he got into the meeting. Poor man, he started off sans support in the first place.
- Pep Guardiola"The reason I have not extended my contract is simple. I want to manage in the Premier League." Ugh. Can't wait to hear the kvetching re: the Christmas fixtures, the media, the standard of play. But the grass should mollify him though. We keep it short and it always rains, and the play is pinball fast (although not slick). Mourinho might want to move on from the PL though. The top teams seem to be ignoring him
- Guardiola wishes new Madrid boss Zidane all the best
To be fair, high flying coaches are a fraternity, I've noticed. As soon as Gary Neville was named as Valencia's head coach, Pochettino, Sanchez and Ranieri were all, "Ah, my colleague. It's a difficult job, good luck to him!" - Manchester United hope 'cult hero' Ryan Giggs can lure Real Madrid star Gareth Bale to Old Trafford in record £75million deal Ugh, Bale. I doubt that he'd want to leave 'the best league in the World' for the lowly PL Besides, Perez wants him to stay

Stoke city 0- 1 Liverpool
Glen Johnson left Liverpool for Stoke City last summer. He battled with Emre Can
Bojan was struggling in the game. But he's been thriving off field. He's learning English (I'm sure he knew some upon coming over here, coming from Barca and all), he's doing promotion for language learning, and supposedly has found a music teacher to resume his violin lessons
Speaking of language learning, I didn't watch this game because I was supposed to meet someone to practice my French and they never showed up, so I missed the game. Damn it
Super sub Jordan Ibe scored the only goal and he and Firminio are doing... something.
Benteke reduced to a bit part role. That's not Benteke's fault. Not Klopp's either.
Moreno was working. Anyway, some gossip: after that woeful response to West Ham last week, Klopp pretty much read the team the riot act (about time!). The upshot is, he told them not to take their place in the team and their supporters for granted. Damned right
OP: done! I gotta go. Can someone please do the tags for me? Also, can I have a social media tag? Thanks. Cheers, jeers, correction and commentary pushback, you know the drill
