the wealth disparity in La Liga never stops shocking me. Elche's situation is heartbreaking; their president resigned last night, in a last desperate attempt to save the club from relegation. and there's SO MANY clubs at risk of insolvency over there, especially in the lower leagues...

meet Nuno Silva, a portuguese player who was bought by Real Jaén (a segunda B club) & wore a Franco shirt to his presentation, lmao. out of ignorance, of course, and he already apologized. a portuguese not knowing what Franco looks like isn't exactly rare, i'm sure most spanish wouldn't be able to recognize Salazar either... but what's really baffling / funny to me is how no one from the club warned him!
