The seeding for this tourney is a mess. I remember hearing a news report they got called out on it about how Germany and France could meet as early as the QF despite being the second (first?) and third ranked, and they gave a something something reason about television viewership.
But it's definitely a mess that the 1-3 ranked countries in the world are all in the same side of the bracket, and if they win, the first and second ranked teams will meet in the SF? What is this mess.
