I don't know what he stands for? I'd give the lad from Jordan a chance. In that yeah, he's from the Middle East, but Jordan seems moderate (the society and the guy himself), and he seems to have detailed plans re: women's football, transparency and other detailed ideas rather than, "Football deserves better than Blatter". In addition, it might be good if the President wasn't European this time around. Also, if he introduced limits on terms ie. after eight years, no matter how good a job you did, you'd have to gtfo. That would be good as well, because it would prevent rot from setting in.

I read that Blatter has support from African and Asian nations so Prince Ali could challenge him for that.

I get Prince Ali, and I understand that. In addition, it would be nice for a non European to get the role, and Prince Ali seems sober enough, but what platform is Figo running on apart from being not Sepp.

That's what I'm curious about and he said he's going to be sharing his platform soon. This news really came out of left field. When my friend told me about it, I thought he was just joking. He retired only a few years ago and he hasn't really held an administrative position of any sort anywhere, I think?

Edit: Oh, apparently he served in the UEFA Football Committee since 2011.

Bless him. He's probably not gonna win but I admire his spirit. He has the backing of at least five FAs so I'm guessing the Portuguese FA is one of them.
