I get the point that this may come across as the beginnings of a witchhunt, but Evans has himself to blame for all of this. So I really can't feel any sympathy at all. Like you said, he needs to find other work now. Working in an environment which heavily influences younger generations is not good for him with his criminal record now. The fact is, if he killed someone, he would probably still be in jail, however rape and sex crimes still aren't taken seriously not only in our country, but across the world.
He's basically making himself the example and I think this needs to serve a lesson to other footballers, whereby if you're going to cheat on a partner and rape another person, then this is the consequence to your life and your career. His victim will suffer for the rest of their life, his 'suffering' has only just started now he's realised he can't walk back into his old comfy lifestyle. Wow this topic makes me so mad!!
I know, Mou has played so many of the same players in every game, has John Terry had a game out yet?! I swear he is always playing. The loss against Spurs has clearly shaken Mou more than he has let on, so I think we need to brace ourselves for aggressive Mou for the next few games!
Oh also OP, you'll be pleased to know that I now have a target in place for my German learning - so I am going to a festival in Germany in early Summer and I am using this as a good reason to get the basics nailed down by then. I'm going with a friend who knows zero german, so this is gonna be good motivation to be able to hold basic conversation and hopefully not fuck up the grammar along the way! It's about half a year away, so I think it's a reasonable goal to meet!

Woot!!!! Woott!!! Yasss.
Yeah, that will definitely give you some focus! I do remember a few years ago, I had to go to Italy with my SO, and I knew no Italian, and my mister had no intention of learning. I did two hours a day for three months, and ended up getting by. Not necessarily having great conversation (uhh no) but I could ask and follow directions, know numbers (especially for flights and buses, it proved helpful) - and that was way before you have all the plethora of apps and programmes available like you have now. So yes, six months will be enough to get by- although you'll probably have Germans go, "Oh, I speak English" and you might go like this :(
I knew someone who only spoke to children during his time in Germany, because their English wasn't at that level yet, or he'd speak to people over sixty, because their English wasn't good - in order to get his German up. SO... try and keep that in mind. :D' But just even being able to read basic signs, and do basic conversation in the language will smooth the way a bit. Enjoy. Nearer to the time, I might beg you to buy some German stationery and bring back some for me. :D
ETA- I hope you didn't feel as if I were bullying you into learning a language. I know that I can be a bit full on.
Yeah, Mou is on the warpath. I think he's going to to be busy during this transfer window, but teams are going to take it to Chelsea now, since after the defeat to Newcastle and Spurs, they will fancy their chances. Mourinho wants a trophy this year (be it FA or PL), so it's going to be a rocking rest of the season, me thinks.
Evans yeah- he is not poor, his gf isn't poor. Retrain, because two years sans proper play means that his form has fallen completely off. Suárez after four months away is still trying to find his feet, I can only imagine what Evan's form is like.

No, I don't think you've been pushy at all! I've been meaning to improve my German for a good while yet, I'm definitely someone who needs a push at times to get things done!
I love Mou on the warpath, when Mou is all happy and smug, it's just not fun. Yeah, if Mou doesn't get a trophy he's gonna be pissed beyond belief.
The things is with the Evans situation, like you said, he has plenty of money. I don't understand why he can't just train by himself behind the scenes, to get back into play. I don't understand why he thinks he can just be accepted back into club football after all this time. It's all just a bit naive and shows his intelligence levels to be extremely low.

Pretty much, that's half the battle. Also people try not to overcharge you if they think you know the language. Also, just even reading the signs and such will be decent. It's nice when you can actually 'read' something without strain. I'm getting more moments like that, but still could be better. I have my assignment to finish, and I just can't seem to get stuck in. It's due next week, and these things do need to be looked at, so.
Hah! Can't wait to see Chelsea's next match, that's for sure. He's throttled his comments about the referees back. I don't think that he'll be doing a repeat of what he did at Real Madrid (when he waited by the referee's car to 'discuss' a call that he had an issue with. LOL, Mou was at his trolly best that time. Not so fun for the club, but fun for me as a neutral), but we will see.
Poo, I dropped my moleskine and it split in half, separated from the bind. I'm going to have to write away to complain. Crimney. All my Spanish notes are in there, so I refuse to send the book off. Gahhh,

I think Mou is slightly more controlled this time round at Chelsea, not to say his comments haven't calmed down! But I think he's learnt a lot about the english media from last time and only occasionally trolls when he feels like it. I reckon he should perhaps calm down on the refs issue now, because everyone seems to be jumping on this bandwagon now. Chelsea's next game is with Newcastle, so Mou is going to want to 100% win this one! I can imagine the threats he will be throwing around the dressing room before the match!
That's not good about your book - send an irate email to wherever you bought it from! Take pictures of it as well!

Mou and the English media know each other, tis true. I think that we need a new personality, tbh. Pochettino, bless him, doesn't want to engage, Koeman is strict, and van Gaal has no sense of humour. Louis van Whinge is up in this. We need a new personality, I think. But that's just me looking for a new narrative, tbh.
