LOL, the English refs are from the viewpoint of the game being freeflowing, so they tend not to be too fussed about the physical part of the game (to a point, to be fair) whereas with La Liga referees they do tend to blow their whistles more (and award free kicks), hence the whole 'positional' vs 'physical' attributes that come into play. this blog has a good overview of stuff. Out of date, but info is info
But you get the feeling that with La Liga the players can appeal the referee more and the referee will be swayed (especially if they are Real Madrid).
Man United are getting better, because they seem to be working out issues in their midfield, but don't count out Spurs. They keep showing up for their matches what the competition, and their ambition shines through. Kane and Ericsson are nice to look at. I wish Soldado would score more (I guess, so does he!) but it's a good team to support, and Levy seems to be holding off his trigger finger on Ponchettino (who seems to want to develop academy talent than buy talent in the medium to long term). I love he. It will be a good game, I hope to watch it tomorrow.
Hah, if I could knit LFC players, I'd knit them a good goalie and striker. Alas, I can't so I'm finishing up a work in progress that's six years old. I think the jumper is a bit too short, and I'll have to sew a shift to wear under it, but it be like that sometimes.
I have so much yarn and I've promised myself to knit up with it, because I refuse to buy myself jumpers, mittens and beanies because I have the yarn- so yeah, time to get knitting, I say! Of course, I've lost my knitting needles, so I'm looking at websites to buy a few.
I also need to study some Spanish tonight. I want to take a day off of not studying, but! I'm trying to get from an A2 level (threshold) to B1 (knocking on the door of intermediate and hoping that it will let me in), so I need to continue on my grind.
