Well, merry Christmas or other applicable holiday to those that celebrate! I'm currently shortly before an 11 PM service that I could really, really do without. I'm OK with working on this day, and I even had an invitation for dinner with some nice people whose children I teach, but really, at this point I'd like to curl up in bed with a book or the new tablet that I bought yesterday because there was an unexpected windfall of money. Going out and doing another round of Stille Nacht and O du fröhliche is not my favourite thing.
I was thinking about getting a tablet earlier this year, but then I got one from school. I'm glad for it because it saved a lot of money, but I should totally get a new laptop so I'll be poor anyway.
This here. (The UVP is of course far too high, but even so I managed to find a trader on Ebay who was selling them for 299, around 60 € less than the usual price.) I'd been looking at a test for a no-brand one that is supposed to go on sale in Aldi Süd after the holidays which will cost only 170 €, and it was described as OK, but the screen wasn't very good... well, the screen is sort of the point! So I invested in the Stiftung Warentest tests and basically chose the best-tested one that was within my budget after reading a few additional reviews

And there's something in it for everyone! The part with the turkey gave me endless joy when I was a child; and now I see the more subtle things happening that escaped me back then.
