I feel like the Poldi saga has gone on longer than a season of Game of Thrones and is just as wearying. Maybe Jogi should literally state to Wenger that if he doesn't intend to use him then he should sell (and use the cash to buy some defensive back-up IMHO)

As for Giroud not being available for that important match against Dortmund, why am I not surprised? Is there a suitable plan B?

Yeah, I'm tired about hearing about Poldi (and I like Poldi). Also, he hasn't talked to Wenger more before now? I'll hope that was some fanciful reporting there since this has been dragging on for months.

Although, I followed the Goal link and this is what Arsene said about Poldi (seems his extended? Brazilian holiday is counting against him a bit):
"He plays a position where there is a big competition. He came very late from his holidays [in the summer]. He started after his team-mates and was not good physically,” Wenger told beIN Sports.

I think plan B for no Giroud is fingers crossed that Alexis is more rested by then. And if no one is scoring, try a Poldi Hail Mary (hopefully sooner rather than later in the game). Hopefully Danny will start to rebound...he seems to have lost his Arsenal scoring mojo lately.

So gorgeous and neat! I really should follow suit.

Manchester United already has freaking Victor Valdes, why are they wanting Ter Stegen for? Does this mean that David de Gea is looking not to sign an extension with Manchester United? B- b- but you're getting awesome(r). Alas, Liverpool is begging for a second goalie, but you know, things.

LOL at Trollinho - but I can emphasise with managers going wtf when their players come back injured from an international jolly.

Why isn't Arsene Wenger playing Lucas Polksi? The lad can play and gives good service on the field (when I've seen him). I guess his going rate might be too expensive for Köln and Schalke 04 at this moment in time.

Haha thanks, admittedly I'm a bit OCD when it comes to formatting on the computer. Your posts with picspams have a special charm, though ( ... )

Man, I don't know why de Gea would want to go to Real Madrid now when Casillas has placed a shot across the bows that he intends to stay there until 40 years of age. Keylor Navas is there, and he sees the odd game - but Real Madrid is a sexy club so I can see the appeal but--- at Manchester United he's pretty much growing into a star player, and the club is known World Wide, and it's not if they're going to get back into top 4 and Champions League but whenThe other keeper with de Gea is Anders Lindegaard ( ... )

isn't de gea an atletico product and a big fan? will he really sell out to real? i get the appeal but no way real can accommodate another keeper. i love iker but i think it would be good for all parties if he packs up and leaves for a smaller club and start a new chapter there. right now, there's def something missing in him. good thing real has a near invincible attack because casillas+the defense is so lacklustre. i want navas to shine. ilh....

And Arsenal's woes deepen with Twitter buzzing over rumors that Jack Wilshere is out for 10 weeks. There's not enough hard alcohol in the world to anesthetize Gooners through the pain of seeing the Gunners struggle through the next few months of fixtures.

You put Giroud in,
You take Wilshere out,
And you shake it all about.
You do the Hokey-Pokey,
And you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about!

I personally can't stand Wilshere, but this is the last thing the team needs :(
This season has been a mare from the start SMH. If only the team could be rotated a bit more, so they didn't have to rely on the same people game in and game out, who then get overworked and pick up injuries!

am done with arsenal until arsene either puts up or shuts up there is really no excuse to NOT use Poldi right now given that what Wenger is currently doing isn't exactly producing good results

tbh I agree with whoever said that Wenger doesn't know how to use Poldi and that this is all just an excuse. I undesrtand if he said "he is not playing because he was in Brazil this long and than went on holidays" in August or September but not in the end of Novermber ... he either has a plan for him or not. If not, than he should let him leave. Period.

If not, than he should let him leave. Period. I would agree, but it sounds like the offers that are coming in for Poldi aren't close to what Arsenal paid for him? Schalke and Koln cannot afford to pay a lot, and I don't know what the reported Juventus offer was (or whatever Italian team was interested in him). Poldi is not necessarily a key ingredient in the German NT's on-the-field game play (really he's more of a cheerleader/morale type, which is important, but doesn't equate to stats that are assigned to only him), so I don't know how much he can realistically demand right now ( ... )

I believe he would take a paycut if he got a chance to play.

It might be a pretty big paycut. I doubt Koln is willing to sell stickers or whatever again to make up the difference (and then it probably wouldn't come close). Serie A is probably his best shot, but I don't know what they were offering.

As far as I know Poldi ... as childish as people make him ... he wouldn't talk publically if he saw a chance of fixing things with Wenger.I hope he's completely exhausted his "talking" options with the club, but in that article above he was acting like he hadn't really talked with Wenger - which is why if he really hasn't been talking to the coaching staff that much before now, going to the press is not a good look. Sure, if you are out of options, what do you have to lose, but it's sort of burning a bridge, or at least weakening it ( ... )
