Park Ji-sung to QPR: It's official (and I'm crying a little inside)

(ok i'm crying a lot)

Queens Park Rangers Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of South Korean midfielder Ji-Sung Park.

After seven years at Old Trafford, Park Ji-sung has joined QPR. It was an up-and-down career at Manchester United; he had amazing performances against teams such as F.C. Barcelona (CL 2008) and AC Milan (CL 2010)/scored vital goals against Arsenal (soooo good), Liverpool, Chelsea and more, but his time was also marred by injuries, exclusion from the team during the 2008 Champions League victory despite valuable contributions running up to the final match, and a very quiet last season.

Rio Ferdinand: Ji's a fantastic player and a real players' player. He's been greatly appreciated by the other lads and the fans of our club over the years. He's been a great servant and never been any trouble. He's just a real selfless player who has always played for his team-mates and he was part of a very successful period for the club.

"I'm sad to see him go because he's a really good lad as well - after three or four years he really came out of his shell and was one of the lads, making a lot of jokes. As I said I'm sad to see him go as he's a really nice guy. (His bff Evra will be so saddddddddd)
He loved Manchester United and so it's terribly sad to see him leave, without ever winning the Champions League (damn you Barca!!!! and 2008... so much pain with the happiness click the link to read a translation of Park's reflections on that final) in the United kit and without even a call from Sir Alex (ruuuuude).

But when you have such a large squad with so many talented players, it happens. See, Dimitar Berbatov. Therefore, for his footballing career, this is definitely an interesting move, and hopefully he'll play a central, awesome role in QPR's upcoming season. That's why he chose QPR.

Park Ji-sung: Their plan is great. I couldn't resist this plan and ambition. I know QPR want to improve and have ambitions to reach the next level and I will try my best to help. There were other offers but nothing compared to QPR.

I fell in love with Manchester United while cheering on Park Ji-sung. I will continue support Manchester United, but I will also cheer on Park Ji-sung's career at QPR. No apologies there!
