Gunners & their WAGs paint the town red for a good cause
Arsenal are at the top of the league at the moment and what better way to celebrate than supporting a good cause?
The Gunner WAGs have banded together to raise money and awareness of an important cause and of course they have got their fellas on board.
On Sunday Dec. 5, the "ABC for SOS ball" took place at Claridge's Hotel in London, England for SOS, the world's largest orphan charity. The aim of the event was to raise money for SOS Children’s orphanages in Zambia.
As Robin van Persie revealed to the Daily Mirror that wife Bouchra has been working tirelessly with Aimee van Ommen (partner of Gunners defender Thomas Vermaelen) and Carla Dona Garcia (partner of Cesc Fabregas) - backed of course by their respective partners - to create "ABC." The organization hopes to stage events to help youngsters with absent parents, street children, child soldiers and children orphaned by war, poverty, illness or natural disasters.
Van Persie went on the praise the trio: “I knew at first about the work she [Bouchra] has been doing with the other girls to put together this evening. When the girls first told me about it, I didn’t believe they would get this far.
“But I have to give them a big compliment because they have put in so many hours it's unbelievable.
“I’ve been in other charities but the amount of time Bouchra, Aimee and Carla have put in, starting at nine in the morning, finishing at one, at midnight, has been amazing."
