how about next time babel tweets the #nohomo tag everybody replies and tells him to stfu? but in a more articulate way aha.
i'm actually serious lol, i know it seems like a stupid idea but in some ways it's useless the fans being opposed to homophobia if the players themselves seem content to be casually homophobic.
idk if that would work though haha but i definitely think that if a campaign or something is put into place it could be worth raising awareness through twitter. so many players (in the premier league at least) are reluctant to get involved in combating homophobia atm, i find it really sad.

UGH, THIS YES PLEASE.

Combating the idea that "homo = stupid" is so important to this cause and helps everyone get along better.

Hells yeah. And Babel uses it all the time. Like when he retweeted that pic of Cesc today like Jesus dude you're not even in it. Hip hop/Rap may be equal if not more homophobic than sports unfortunately.

It's something that american rappers started saying if their lyrics could be taken as unintentionally gay. It's so so dumb.

haha yeah hence why i said it probably wouldn't work! i think it would need to be something that really got him thinking, rather than just 'THAT'S HOMOPHOBIC!' which he'd probably just ignore lol

You know what though, I find he responds to negative comments. It could be good publicity if people call him out on it. I think he'd mention it. Maybe he'd retweet the hashtag! something like "#redcardhomophobia what is that?"
