Mostly because she's not a poor girl from a tiny village, tbh. I'm half-joking, but fans DO have a tendency to AWW at the girls who grew up with (insert star) in (insert star's village) and HISS at the ones who aren't (see: Sara Carbonero), which I tend to think is kind of dumb, since small-town girls don't inherently cheat/mistreat guys less. Anna Maria... I do get why people wonder. She's been on television and been married twice and been involved with at least four athletes. That said, she did convert (which is kind of a big deal), so I'm not as quick to write her off as a golddigger as some people.

ia. and it's not really golddigging, i don't think, since o.ozil would probably be easy to love anyway. $$ just adds to the appeal. i actually don't mind anna-maria, but i can see how she'd be the type of woman his mother would probs hate. married,kid from previous marriage, ~scandalised~ etc.

Yeah, I think it's kind of a rash/jealous judgment, especially since a lot of the same people idolize female celebrities who are divorced and/or have children. It's kind of a possessive NONOTMYFOOTBALLBB mentality that I understand but also find pretty tiring sometimes. Believe me, the cute innocent-looking ones can be bitches behind closed doors.

haha i believe you! deep down, i think all women can be bitches. i'm definitely guilty of going on jealous bashing rampages on my FOOTBALLBBs' gfs and other celebs, so i'm quite chill with the anna-maria hate, esp. since everyone seems to hate her so much already. i tend to hate people that everyone loves because i don't think they deserve all that like and are really ~not that pretty~ etc. etc.

Yeah, I think it's pretty universal. I've definitely been guilty of pointless celebrity hate before. Sometimes I think some of the WAG hate is overblown, but LOL Anna Maria is too busy making out with Ozil to be upset that ONTDfb compared her to a Disney villainess. It could be a lot worse: I backed far, far away from the internet football fandom when people started posting pictures of Merche Romero and C.Ron hanging out with his five-fucking-year-old nephew on a "Merche Romero is a Pedophile" blog.

tbh, i hated mirka so bad when i was at the peak of my roger federer idolation. but then i sort of grew out of it and grown to love her because i really respected roger and therefore, his wife by default. sort of like xabi's wife too, i can't really get myself to hate on her.

oh bb, i completely agree. children are sacred. on the topic of things we hate involving children, can i just say how much i hate it when the press makes fun of tweenage celebs who are going through their awkward puberty phase? we're allowed to be ugly during that time! like dakota fanning's super awk braces gangly years, or abigail breslin. granted, this is much less serious than the pedophile issue =P but i definitely sideeye people/the media for laughing at already self-conscious tweens with pimple problems......we ALL went through that period once!! /rant
