Godiola has finally signed his contract.
Along with Tito Vilanova, his second in command, Pep signed his contract on Wednesday. The contract ends on the 30th June of 2011, so it's only for one season. Both parts signed a clause that doesn't allow their (Pep and Tito's) salary to be public. Plus, 1% of it goes to the Fundació i Agrupació de Veterans del FC Barcelona (the association for the veteran barça players).

NOW, I'M REALLY MAD: Apparently Rossell wanted them to sign a six year contract, as long as his presidency lasts, but Pep only wanted a one year contract. The agent and the club finally agreed for a 2 year+1 of extension since it was a half half win situation. But I've heard more than one RUMOUR here in Catalunya that apparently Rossell fucked it up and Pep decided that he was going to sign for only one year!! And now it's going to happen the same as last season, when all the press and fans go crazy around December/January thinking about Godiola leaving. CAN'T HE SIGN AN ETERNAL CONTRACT OR SOMETHING?
Kind of related, we have the fact that there's also this floating around: apparently this "financial crisis" the club is having is not that dramatic. Since Laporta did many good things for the club, the main ones being winning, winning, and some more titles winning (and not only the football ones but also basketball, hockey, handball...) but he probably did other not so good things. Now Rossell is kind of scared for if there's no winning for him, so he's trying to make this economic crisis thing bigger than what it is so that it seems that the Laporta era was not that wonderful and he's also doing great things.
Since I've never liked this guy, I'm inclined to belive all this conspiracy theories. But what do you think about them? What's your opinion?
