... But complains about "Exorbitant demands"





Bayern's President Karl-Heinz Rummenigge sees in Fábio Coentrão a player with the potential to strengthen the german team, but states that the deal is not going forward due to alleged "exorbitant demands" made by SL Benfica about their winger.

"Coentrão is a good player, no doubt. However, we are not prepared to respond to the exorbitant demands of Benfica", said Rummenigge.

The great performance of Fábio Coentrão in the World Cup brought him to the attention of the german club. A proposal of 20 million euros is reported to have arrived at Benfica's offices for the left-footed player's pass, but was promptly refused by Luís Filipe Vieira, since the contract clause is set at 30 million euros.
