basically if you get a yellow card in the quarter finals, and then again in the semi finals.. you are STILL able to play in the finals.

With the old rule, you wouldn't be able to play in the final.

it was a dumb rule in the first place. i mean players work their whole lives to get to a world cup final, the only thing that should keep them out of it on the pitch is a red card.

to be honest, i'm glad FIFA was proactive for once and changed this rule. heh shows the press they're doing something =b

and I also think this means you wouldn't carry any yellow cards you got in previous games into the final. Unless I'm wrong

yep you can't carry yellows starting from the quarters. You can still get a yellow card in the knock out stage & then again in the quarters.. and still miss the semi final.

It's only for the final. Big marketing scam I'd say!
