CITY WOULD OFFER 15 MILLION FOR GAGO

LONDON -- Real Madrid's midfielder could become in the next hours Carlos Tevez's teammate, given that Manchester City would offer €15M for his transfer.

Meanwhile, in Boca Juniors they're expecting the negotiation to fail so that the Argentinian player can return to the club on loan for 4 months.

This Saturday, Manchester City will make an offer for the midfielder, €15M, through his agent Fernando Lombilla, who flew to Europe to close the deal.

Some days earlier, Gago's agent had travelled to Argentina to close the transfer to Boca Juniors, something that now seems far-fetched after the large sum offered by the club in which also play Carlos Tevez and Pablo Zabaleta.

On his side, Gago is very excited about the offer, not just regarding the economical side, but also for the chance to get some minutes of play, something the player needs to do more often than he does at Real Madrid if he wants to be in the next World Cup.

AYALA LEFT ZARAGOZA AND.. GOES TO RIVER?

BUENOS AIRES -- The Argentinian defender Roberto Ayala has ended his contract with Zaragoza and now River Plate has the chance to negotiate with the player to bring him back to the country and strengthen their last line facing the upcoming Clausura.

Ayala, who in every season break is rumoured to return to River, wore the shirt of the "millonarios" in 1994 and 1995, and now awaits a meeting with the club president Daniel Alberto Passarella to agree on a contract and continue his career in Argentina.

The defender, who is 36 years old, played in Zaragoza for 3 years, performed in 81 games and scored 4 goals, between local and international championships.

Before that, he defended the colours of Nápoli and Milan in Italian football, and also played for Valencia.

Real Zaragoza appreciated his professionalism, commitment and devotion shown by Ayala while defending the club's shirt, in which he was captain in the recent season.

Moreover, the club gave him their best wishes, both in sports and personal levels.
