Weise wants Germany omission
The next two international matches for Germany will be held in Leverkusen, the place of Rene Adler's home club, and Hannover, home to Robert Enke's club. This is why Tim Weise thinks it would be counter-productive for him to play rather than the home fans' favourite.
"If I play, I am going to be jeered for 90 minutes long," he told the Bild newspaper. "I don't want to put myself through that."
"It's not good to be German and jeered by German fans.
The team would also suffer."
Instead, Wiese thinks Adler should keep goal in the friendly with South Africa in Leverkusen's BayArena on September 5 with Enke given the nod for the World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan four days later in the Niersachsen Stadion.
"I am going to talk to Jogi Low about this," he added.
(Maybe he should also let Mr. Low know that a certain centre back also deserves a place in the squad.. just sayin'.)
Source. I guess this is good news for the Bundesadler.
