Yeah. I've read three pieces by this guy, and only one of the three didn't make me side-eye him really hard. Even the half-decent one was a bit ... off iirc.
Well, "Weiner's women" is not very accurate, and definitely deserves a side-eye, but it has a good alliteration, so I'm not surprised they used it.
I have to say I agree with the assessment of Lisa Weiss. Publicity hound, all the way. I thought that from the very first time I saw her on TV.
And I'm SOOOOOO not impressed with anyone who goes around flirting this...shamelessly with a man you know is married. If this happened to any of these women in reverse (their boyfriend/husband sexting with someone else), they'd be pissed, I'm sure. So why the hell was it ok for them to do it???
I'm not saying it shouldn't have come out, but he was egged on by them (not that it took much, apparently)....
I'm SOOOOO not impressed with your assessment of the situation. First off, not everyone has the same narrow view of marriage as you and you have no idea of the relationship status of these women. Second, it is up to the people WITHIN the marriage to work at and protect their own marriage. Third, could you perpetuate the 'homewrecker' trope any more? When a woman is involved in a situation with a married man, it's usually the woman that gets called a 'homewrecker'. Why aren't you holding the person IN THE MARRIAGE to the same standard? Finally, he is clearly in an overt position of power here and as far as these women "egging him on", give me a break. The onus is on him to take responsibility for HIS actions. He is the one with a public office, he's the one with the clear authority in the situation and he's the one that has to answer to the public. None of these women are public figures and their private lives (including their behaviour in this case) have anything to do with HIS indiscretion. It doesn't matter who these women
( ... )
Are you kidding? Have you even read the accounts of what happened? Weiner was basically a dog, coming after them sexually after all previous conversations were strictly political.

Yeah, if there's one thing society doesn't do enough, it's blame women.
Weiner's the one who actually made a marriage vow, and nobody actually forced him to send that picture. This is so dumb.
