I think this is a great article - but could you put some description of what it refers to before the link, so people know before they follow it?

In case someone comes before OP changes it, the title is "Georgia lawmaker proposes classifying miscarriages as ‘prenatal murder’."

This is ridiculous...there is no scientific way to conclusively prove WHAT caused a miscarriage, and the cost of these kinds of investigations would bankrupt the state of Georgia (not that that's even the main concern, but still). Not only that, but I'm pretty sure that it's unconstitutional as of now because of Roe v. Wade.

A quick google seems to show that this is the same guy who wants to redefine rape victims as accusers and wants to eliminate driver's licenses.

Not that that makes it better, but at least so much of the woman-hating legislation that's being introduced is coming from the same man.

It would restrict the right to travel freely because there's no need to know who's who on the road.

And there's "nothing stopping" people who do not know how to drive from driving right now, so what's the big deal?

I will never travel in Georgia if that somehow passes.
The death rates, my god.

I think my calendar is lying to me. It says it's 2011, but this year has made me feel like I'm back in the nineteenth century.

What the fuck is happening in America? Why the fuck are these white straight (cis) men being elected? Obviously they have not goddamned idea just how many women miscarry each year with no explanation whatsoever! It's nice to know that a clump of fucking cells trumps MY right to live.

Holding a woman criminally responsible for an abortion is deplorable enough. Trying to hold a woman responsible for something she can't control is just... beyond my levels of comprehension, at the moment. If ever.

I've heard people like this called "Fetus Fetishists" many times. I think it's very apt.
