I completely agree with you.

"This is far from hyperbole, these are facts and statistically back up that abortion is having an impact on the demography of African-Americans"

His statement totally reminds me of some of the arguments and facts presented on websites like these:
http://www.blackgenocide.org/black.html

I just hate how Pastor Borden implies that abortion is a genocidal practice perpetrated through white-owned institutions (health clinics) while ignoring the fact that black women do actively choose to have an abortion for a variety of valid reasons that should be acknowledged and respected.

This is an all-round attack on Black womanhood. Our wombs are declared dangerous because we exercise our right to choose whether or not we want to become mothers, our self-image is attacked because we're labelled as promiscuous women who are ready to abort our babies at every turn, our right to respect and dignity is completely ignored because WHO THE FUCK wants to drive by and see a billboard ad like that as they're driving/walking down a road.

Re: that website: Why hello there vast and inaccurate generalizations about African Americans! (Our primary leaders are clergy members? While the black church is really important, why do we need leaders? Our leaders are the President and the rest of Congress - the same leaders white Americans have, since we do, after all, live in the same fucking country.)

That website - I can only do so much but it really comes to the table with the assumption that black Americans are stupid and need to be led. That's why I hope this campaign backfires on them with the power of a thousand suns. I mean pro-life campaigns normally get me upset because of the controlling nature of them, but this one attacks my dignity, intelligence, and agency as a black woman. By fucking outsiders, as if I needed a bunch of white men* to tell me how to live my life as a black woman in this country and to tell me where's the most dangerous place for me. How about police custody?

*ETA: Apparently it's a black man who's heading the campaign. Which makes me even more upset.
