Yeah, they said that if you start to go through security and you leave, you are violating their laws and subject to the suit and the fine. He followed every instruction they gave him. Two different supervisors told him to leave. An LEO escorted him out. But when he was at the ticketing booth, getting his refund, another supervisor came out, saying he HAD to go through the scanner or pat down, no exceptions, because he had already started the process.

If he had left on his own, I'd possibly understand this. But about six different people told him to leave. He was escorted out. WTF, SAN. WTF.

IIRC, it was U.S. Marshalls who had saved the images and not the TSA itself, but yes, there was something in the news about it. I'll see if I can dig it up.

The fucked up thing about Amtrak is they don't even scan the checked luggage, let alone have metal detectors even. If terrorists are really determined to fuck some shit up, I suspect the trains are next.
