It's that time again. Another episode of WOAS is coming up this weekend. It will air at 3-4pm ET on Saturday, August 28th. After this episode there will be three more for the year. The airing schedule can be found in this post or at the WOAS site.

Video previews and extra information for the rest of the segments can be found under the cuts. I have no idea what will actually be shown but hopefully the clips will get you all hyped and I won't have to watch alone this weekend :)

The segments featured this episode will be:

Oakley "Uniquely": Oakley "Uniquely" is a 6-section travel inspired women’s multi-sport (snowboard, ski, surf, skate, wake) film that exposes the “unique” personalities and lifestyles of the athletes involved as they pass the baton, or camera, from one location to the next. The “Uniquely” film takes viewers on a cultural journey through Japan, Russia, Colorado, California, Indonesia, Brazil, Australia and beyond. Audiences will explore the remote corners of the earth with the women of Oakley, as they search for perfect conditions while building lasting memories and lifelong friendships.

The full 35 minute movie can be downloaded on the Oakley site here. Gretchen Bleiler and Elena Hight are in it. One problem. When you click to download the iPod or 480p version the link doesn't let you download. What you'll have to do is take out this portion of the URL -> "mi." It's right after "http://". After that's done click enter and the zip file with the video should download fine. I'll email Oakley in a bit to let them know about it.

Red Bull Athlete Rhys Millen's Pikes Peak Hill Climb: On June 27, 2010, Rhys Millen attempted to beat the current "Unlimited Class" World Record of 10:01.408 at the 88th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the "Race to the Clouds." For 10 years, it has been Rhys' dream to break the 10-minute barrier and this year he hoped to capture the elusive record and return it to the Millen name. This is a look at his run and the challenges he faced in his custom-built Genesis PM580: an 1,850 pound, 750 horse power V6 designed specifically to conquer the 156 turns of this 12.52 mile course.

2010 US Open of Surfing: There's no surf stadium like the Huntington Beach Pier and it remains the Headliner at the US Open, with five separate events, 300-plus competitors and more than $300,000 in prizemoney on the table. WOAS hits the US Open where surfers are out to clinch the crucial ratings points on offer towards their ASP World Ranking while ASP Pro Junior surfers look to finish atop their regional ratings to qualify for the inaugural ASP World Junior Tour.
