If we look up to the innovators (Mark Gonzales, Sean Sheffey, Rodney Mullen), and praise them all the time, then why are so many afraid to do something different, or be different nowadays?
“I guess there are three goals for this film. To inform/remind people of where skateboarding came from-the original driving force was. To stop all the crazy pointless hate bullshit, and to hopefully discourage a few kids from wanting to get sponsored. I wouldn’t say its like a normal documentary where you feel like your being educated about something, its just basically a carnival of skateboard emotion. A strong punk rock aura, amazing skating, and some heavy, heavy interviews from Lance Mountain, Peter Smolik, Dayne Brummet, Jordan Hoffart, Ben Schroeder, Duane Peters and many more. One thing I can say for certain, We Are Skateboarders will be one of the most controversial pieces of art in skateboard history.”
