David Cook Concert - Galveston, July 5th

Jul 06, 2009 11:42

On a hot summer night in July, Galveston Island was introduced to David Cook...

AND I GOT TO SEE HIM UP CLOSE!

SO, WE WERE STANDING IN LINE TO GET IN, AND MY HUSBAND SAYS, "HEY, THERE HE IS."
SURE ENOUGH...

WE GOT OUT OF LINE AND WAITED FOR HIM TO COME BACK OUT OF THE HOTEL...BINGO.
HE WAS DRIVING A GOLF CART, AND SIGNALING EACH TURN WITH HIS ARM.

MY HUSBAND YELLED FOR HIM TO COME OVER, AND HE YELLED BACK, "SORRY, I HAVE TO GO TALK TO THE PRESS!"

WHILE WE WERE STANDING THERE, HIS GUITARIST ANDY WALKED BY...HE SEEMED LESS THAN ENTHUSED.

THE SHOW!!!

All in all, it was a pretty good show. He didn't sing "Billie Jean", but he did sing "I Just Died In Your Arms". Most of the set list was from his new album. The last song was dedicated to his brother, Adam. Everyone was singing and waving their arms. I have more pictures, but my laptop just died. If they're worth a crap, I'll post them later. Kisses!
