He absolutely floored me in this one. "Heartless" is my all-time favorite Idol performance because it's so much more than the song and what he did with it. It was about the circumstances, the bussing, Kris not giving in to TPTB/the judges, him throwing down everything he had on that stage. Just. Guh. So much fucking love.

I love it. Absolutely love it. I have no freaking clue what the song was about until Kris sung it. LOL!

Fucking awesome. Seriously fucking awesome. I don't listen to the radio or to hip-hop/rnb so, at that time, I couldn't compare it to the original. What I watched was a heartfelt, emotional performance that just drew me in from start to end, and the fact that it was just him and his guitar made everyone focus on him and what he's singing.

I did look up Kanye's version on youtube and it just made me appreciate Kris's version even more, as I was amazed by how he was able to give a melody to such a tuneless song. Kudos, Kris. This performance gave him the momentum to win it all.
