Even though Gokey tried to steal the show with this one, I really thought Kris upstaged him. Something has to be said for the understated way of singing that Kris has, where he is not in any hurry to sing over anyone, but has his own way of making himself stand out. I completely disagree with Simon's assessment of Gokey doing better in the duet (how unnecessary anyways).

I loved Kris' voice on this .. mind you Danny confusing the word duet with the word Duel messed it up but I completely disagree with Simon .. Kris sounded like a rockstar, Danny sounded like a caveman.

I actually really love Kris in this duet, when I get past my Gokey hate. Plus for me this is Kris's hottest look ever.

i've never watched this, because i try to avoid watching danny ever, but i have it on my ipod and i love kris' singing on it. okay, his voice isn't big or growly, but he sounds so much better than danny does that whenever i think about the judges saying that danny was better it makes me want to cut a bench.

also, i quite like the song.

THE A CAPELLA PART AT THE BEGINNING KILLS ME. THIS IS THE REASON WHY I EVEN DEIGN TO LISTEN TO THAT SONG AT ALL.

Also: Kris was so smoking hot in this one. Best outfit of the season.

Love Kris in this, hate Gokey forever for this. I really want to listen to the studio version regularly but I'm not sure if my desire for Kris's voice can overcome my distaste for Gokey's.

Plus, every time I listen to it, I remember Gokey refusing to make eye contact and it makes me pissed off :/

And yes. Hot. Hot. Hot.

TRAUMATIZED.

By this point, I was deeply in rage at Gokey, made even more intense by my mom's love for him. I was also a hardcore Allison fan by then, had been an Adam fan since early on, and was growing increasingly appreciative of Kris (thanks everyone at ontd for your persistence).

I enjoyed his version of Come Together, and when I heard he and Danny were going to do Renegade together, I SRSLY JUMPED FOR JOY. I LOVE STYX AND HAVE BEEN HOPING FOR A STYX NIGHT FOR YEARS. And then Danny came out and crapped all over one of my favorite songs, and Kris's performance suffered because of that. It was especially annoying, because I thought the pick was perfect for them, and I couldn't believe how badly it had all turned out.

The studio recording is amazing, though. I even made a different version where I edited Gokey out and put Dennis De Young in for him instead :D

I didn't think he'd make it through and it made me sad :(

This is the night that I went over my text limit for the month because I was voting so hard for Kradison, and the performance when Gokey really flipped from being someone I didn't care for to almost as douchey as Spencer Pratt.

Kris is a brave little soldier, but he looked and sounded just beaten up in this song. One of the few I never listen to.
