Former American Idol contestant Michael Johns has died, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The singer passed away at the age of 35 from an apparent blood clot in his ankle on Friday, Aug 1.
Last month, Johns tweeted about working on new music. "Headed to the studio to work on new song called 'Reckless' been waiting a long time for this one," he wrote on July 10.
Johns is survived by his wife Stacey Vuduris. The couple married in 2007.
