Wow, this community moves fast. Though in five minutes I learned I was not the only one to suffer discrimination under that word. Sorry, didn't mean to imply that I was. I was just referring to the majority of posters here, which was a mistake. As we all have are own backgrounds with pain in our lives. Now I feel less alone at least in here now. It just shocked me and being a dramatic queen I reacted.
It was pointed out that Adam uses it. Which is fine, I don't know everything about Adam, as much as some of you. I use it to, in a playful joking manner with my boys and my friends. It can also be turned around and used as an insult and believe me even now it still is. No matter how progressive America is becoming.
Queer as Folk, folk, also used it. But e ven Brian got offended when the word was used against him but he would use it casually with his friends. Though the show was amusing it wasn't exactly a perfect picture of the gay lifestyle. Just like the slash fiction that's written on here doesn't exactly reflect how two men really behave together. Both are aimed towards women. I love them though. A lot of talented writers on here.
Oh and I am Paul, I'm 28 years old. Two eyes, a mouth, two ears and a nose. I am pretty regular really. Just went through a lot growing up.
