According to Idol Worship, following tonight's live results show, Ryan Seacrest and the two remaining finalists did the finale coin toss.
The coin landed on the side that pictured Scotty McCreery, but he deferred the decision to fellow finalist Lauren Alaina.
Lauren chose to sing second.
