lol if you think this is what i want from him. i want for him to be gone and to stop hurting my ears. i think that is what idol wants from it's winner, a viable recording artist who sells albums. if the winner of idol has pitch issues a good bit of the time, they lose credibility for being a singing competition (like with lee). i'm saying that if he has the stage down, as you claim, then why shouldn't he work on the weaker part of his performances? why isn't anyone telling him that? then he'd be the whole package. though i'd argue that if the most memorable thing from your performance is a flaming piano and/or your guest guitarist, then it's not really you people care about: it's the tricks.
and do you really think metal is going to make a come back after over a quarter of a decade? really? it was such a decade specific genre, it's really unlikely. like, it can influence later genres, but they never really make a full comeback like that. if he does something more hard rock like, he could prob sell well enough, but he'll be hindered by the idol stigma as every rocker coming off idol is, unless he plans to do poprock or hac rock. do you see him doing this? his voice isn't suited to either. feel free though when metal becomes relevant again to come back here and tell me you told me so.
