"I was crying and peeing at the same time"
I bought the X Factor magazine today and I was just flicking when BOOM Adam interview on the back page.
They basically asked him a bunch of random questions on a roulette, including his last dream (Pink!), if he's weed himself before and his thoughts on inter-office dating, lol.
What's the last dream you had?
I had a dream about Pink. I'd just seen her video and went to bed. I dreamt we were hanging out at a pool party. We were just kicking it, having a beer and having a laugh. We were watching some sort of Cirque du Soleil, and people were doing acrobatic trapeze things into the pool.
Have you ever weed yourself?
When I was a kid, about nine years old. I was in Disneyland with my brother and father and we got separated on Tom Sawyer Island. It's an island in the middle of a lake and you have to take a boat to get there. I lost them, got really freaked out, had to pee and the only bathroom was back on the 'mainland'- there was no bathroom on Tom Sawyer Island. So I found myself in a stone cave that was part of the theme park area and I was crying and peeing at the same time. Nine years old. I haven't peed on myself since then. Not really. I've been pissed but I haven't peed on myself.
What do you think of inter-office dating?
It's a tough one. When I was working in theatre I never dated a cast member. A lot of people did and it was always hit or miss. It could be really great or it could be like you could implode. It depends on the people involved.
What achievement are you most proud of?
All this. I worked hard for a long time doing either recording, writing or being in a band. When I auditioned for American Idol I knew it would be a make or break thing. I couldn't believe I got to the Final, it's been amazing. I'm really thankful that my career has developed the way it has because we all know that these competition shows are hit or miss. You can go on there and it can set you up for life or you can go there and you can be forgotten. I didn't know what to expect. I just knew I had to take the risk and I'm glad I did.
What's the worst haircut you've had?
I had a weird step-cut in middle school. It looked like a bowl, with a hard blunt line at the front. Added to the fact that it was strawberry blonde, it just wasn't a proud moment.
When were you happiest?
I think the first couple of months of being in love for the first time. That was pretty amazing. I was 24 or 25 and I had been in love from afar before but it was the first time I'd been in a real relationship with real intimacy. It changed everything. Hopefully I'll be able to be in that again, I hope so.
Would you rather be adopted by Madonna or Angelina?
[laughs] I would love to spend some more time with Madonna, but I don't know if I need to be her son. I think she and I would have more in common, but I've never met Angelina.
Who would play you in a film of your life?
Leonardo DiCaprio is always fantastic.
If your house was on fire and you could salvage one thing, what would it be?
I'm not really a hardcore materialist. I don't know. I think probably run with the computer. It's got all my stuff on it. I've been travelling for months and I don't really have much at home, so I would want to grab the kind of things that I would take with me on tour.
